Visit to the Port of Manzanillo: Advances and Development

“This project represents a before and after for the Northwest area of ​​the country, since it will have an impact, not only for the communities and provinces in the area, but for the entire country, since it will promote the development and will energize the economy significantly through commercial exchange,” said Minister Paliza.

They also supervised the project Manzanillo Power Land and the Pepillo Salcedo Transmission Line, whose work, according to Minister Santos, translates into a joint effort to optimize the electrical infrastructure in this demarcation, which will guarantee the energy stability and the promotion of new investments in the area.

Santos explained that Power Land is part of the projects that are carried out in matters of energy so that between 2027 and 2028 the country has a installed capacity to produce more than 1,200 new megawatts and add them to the National Interconnected Electric System (SENI).

“‘Here we have three projects important, that of Energía 2,000, with more than 400 megawatts, which will be injected into the system starting in the middle of next year, there are also two others projects known as Block One and Block Two, which are 426 megawatts each, which are starting their work right now, but the equipment is already in productionand the idea is that between 2027 and 2028 they can also add those 852 megawatts to the system for a total of more than 1,200 megawatts,'” Santos said.

He highlighted that in the area the lines of transmission that will connect the substations of the communities ManzanilloGuayubin and El Naranjo, in which an investment of more than 120 million dollars is being made.
