Survey reveals that Colombia will increase employment generation by 20% in the first quarter of 2025

Various factors will encourage employment growth in Colombia during the first quarter of 2025, according to a recent survey.

“Although we have observed a slight decrease in hiring expectations, the data remains encouraging”explained Javier Echeverri, president of ManpowerGroup Colombia.

Likewise, he maintained that the ICT sector stands out with 38% of employers reporting intentions to increase their workforce, reflecting the growing demand for specialized talent to drive digitalization in the country.

At the national level, the region of Amazonas stood out with the highest hiring expectations, reaching 44% of employers who plan to increase their workforce, followed by the Pacific region with 40%. In contrast, the Andean and Orinoquía regions reported lower figures, with 16% and -23%, respectively, highlighting the disparities in the labor market at the regional level.

Companies must be more agile, inclusive and aware of the changes that the market is experiencing. This report is only a reflection of the dynamics and complexity of the challenges that organizations face, but it also highlights the opportunities that exist,” Echeverri pointed out.
