During this afternoon a forest fire has been registered that affects the La Pólvora road sector and Route 68, at the entrance to Valparaíso. Given this, the National Emergency Office (Onemi) decreed the Red Alert for the affected area.

At 8:00 p.m. Police closed Route 68 in both directions, since the smoke and flames prevented better visibility for motorists.
Twelve brigades, two aljies trucks, a plane and three Conaf helicopters are already working on the spot. In addition, there are also 10 Valparaíso fire trucks; Carabineros and municipal personnel, who are also supporting with two cistern trucks.
