For next year, it is projected to spend a total of 291,525.6 million pesos, which represents an 8.8% increase compared to the budget approved in 2024.
The start of some of the head of Government’s main projects is expected in 2025, such as the first three lines of the Cablebús with 3.5 billion pesos and the new Line 0 of the Metrobús, which will run through the city along the Interior Circuit, as well as 16 new Utopias, one for each mayor of the city, for 13,500 million pesos.
Likewise, new social programs will be launched such as Mercomuna, Desde la Cuna, Universal Pension for Men from 60 to 64 years old and Universal Citizen Income from 57 to 60 years old; In total, it is planned to allocate around 17,000 million pesos for social programs and support.
Meanwhile, for the mayors it is proposed to allocate 53,582.4 million pesos, 8.8% more than in 2024.
The commissions must discuss and approve an opinion on the 2025 Budget for Mexico City, which will have to be presented to the plenary session of the capital’s Congress to be voted on.
