Pollsters demand that Dina Boluarte rectify herself

Presidenta arremetió contra encuestadoras.

After the president Dina Boluarte attacked the pollsters for their low approval levels, the Peruvian Association of Market Intelligence Companies (APEIM) came forward to demand that the president rectify it promptly.

Through a statement, he rejected Boluarte’s statements, describing them as defamation.

“The companies associated with our union work seriously and never request money, handouts or any type of favor to deliver true results,” the document begins.

In addition, he expressed that the surveys reflect the opinion of citizens and have scientific rigor: “The surveys are carried out in accordance with international quality standards (ICC/ESOMAR), which govern professional practice in market research, social opinion and data analysis”.

“The recently published surveys reflect the voice and opinion of Peruvians at the time they were carried out, following the highest standards of scientific and technical rigor that have characterized our work for many years,” he said.

Below is the statement issued by the Peruvian Association of Market Intelligence Companies:

WHAT DID DINA BOLUARTE SAY ABOUT THE INTERVIEWERS?

From Carabayllo, the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, spoke about the low levels of citizen approval of her management – 4% according to the latest Ipsos study – and, with evident annoyance, attacked the pollsters to whom, in a defiant manner, , asked them to put 00.

It was during an activity of the Llamkasun program where the president maintained that her Government closes the year generating “more than 138,000 temporary jobs nationwide.”

“That’s the way we work, here are the surveys (he said, pointing to the residents present) and to those who rate me, saying that I have 3% approval, I tell them to give me a 00 at once, so we are tied and we are “We’re going to penalties.”

“I tell them, why do they spend their money, their energy? First they started with 11%, then they knocked on our door. ‘But give us something, we can go up two points, that is to 11’. I told them: nothing , because I prefer to spend that money in Llamkasun for my sisters and brothers. Thank goodness I haven’t been that good at math, and that’s why numbers don’t worry me,” she added.

The latest national Ipsos survey gives the head of state 91% disapproval of her management.

Boluarte continued insisting that the government will invest in social programs “and not in pollsters.”

“I’m not afraid to tell you that we’re not going to give you a single chance to raise two points. (…) I care about the points up and down, I care about working for the Peruvian people, we will continue working, we will continue moving forward. This year we are going to close with a growth of 3.2% of the GDP, leading in the region, with a controlled inflation of 2.4% and international reserves exceeding 84 billion dollars, that is why they criticize me, some would like this one to fail. woman as President of the Republic, but since I am not afraid, failure is not part of my job…”, she stated.
