Total abandonment. Oriente Petrolero closed its participation in the Professional Division, facing one of the most complicated years in its history, surrounded by an economic and institutional crisis that affected the sports side. The players showed up for their final game on Saturday in Tarija hoping to receive news about the payment of owed salaries; however, there was no response.

El Deber Sports contacted a member of the first team this Sunday and asked if there was any rapprochement with the leadership; He responded briefly: “There is nothing yet, there is no answer.”

The crisis in Eastern Oil has reached alarming levels. The salary arrears, which range between 9 and 11 months, demotivated the players, affecting their performance and generating constant stoppages in training throughout the year.

The debt is not only with the team, but also includes the coaching staff, medical staff, props and administrative staff, who have practically not been paid all year.

The lack of payment and response from the leadership created an atmosphere of distrust in the Albiverde camp, which led the brava group and members to demand the resignation of president Ronald Raldes a few weeks ago, increasing the pressure on his management.

According to the first team players, the promise from the leadership has been to cancel three months of salaries before the end of the year.

Recently, Raldes returned to office after requesting indefinite leave due to family problems. At that time, the presidency was under the control of first vice president René Urioste; However, Raldes returned to his duties more than a week ago and represented the club at the Extraordinary Congress of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF), held on Thursday in La Paz.

An Ordinary Assembly of the club was scheduled for December 13, but finally the leadership decided not to hold it, generating even more annoyance among fans and members.
