In an interview with AlNavíothe political leader assured that in the awning “they believe” that the 2015 Parliament -dominated by the opposition- “fulfilled its role in the best possible way”, so there is “no” any justification for it to continue in office.
“The country demands that we fulfill our responsibility and speak clearly and with an eye to the future,” he declared.

Likewise, he mentioned that the measure would alleviate the suffering of thousands of households that already suffer from the detention of a loved one for political reasons. The politician mentioned the hundreds of detainees in recent months, which according to the authorities themselves amounted to around 2,400. The massive arrests occurred after protests over the July 28 electoral elections in rejection of the results issued by the National Electoral Council.
