Hernando de Soto expressed his ambitions to do politics, which is why he indicated that he will travel throughout Peru, in order to learn about each problem and break the centralism that was established in Lima.

“From here we are going to go to Puno, Ayacucho and all the places with natural resources and ports, to see if from there we can make Lima come to its senses and if it is possible to get out of this government that is a deeper swamp every day”he stated.

Regarding foreign crime, he commented that the “Bukele” system cannot be implemented because the situation in Peru is very different from that of El Salvador, where it is easy to identify criminals. Because in Peru, more than 70% is informal, a lawbreaker can hide without any complications.

Faced with this problem, the candidate proposed formalizing the country to be able to identify foreigners who have committed crimes.

Likewise, he also criticized the way in which Peru has negotiated with other countries. “If we make government-to-government agreements, we are not transparent, if there are no special measures,” projection.
