The director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigation Corps, Douglas Rico, reported on the arrest of a subject involved in stealing and illicitly marketing strategic material from Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa).
The director of the scientific police indicated, through his Instagram account, that the individual was identified as Ender Jesús Vegas Carvajal, 22 years old, who stole and illegally sold strategic material from PDVSA, in the state of Monagas. He pointed out that thanks to research work, film analysis and technical-scientific investigations by the Temblador Municipal Delegation, the arrest of Vegas was possible, which took place in the Aguas Claritas sector, Libertador municipality, of the aforementioned state.
Rico indicated that after the investigations, it was determined that Vegas, together with two other men, identified as Héctor Quijadas and Sergio Moreno, both yet to be arrested, took the opportunity during the night to enter the PDVSA facilities in Monagas and steal wiring. electric.
Thus, he said, it was possible to determine the action that the stolen material was then illicitly traded with other people, in order to obtain economic gains, but to the detriment of the State’s assets.
The director of the Cicpc assured that Vegas Carvajal was placed under the orders of the Third Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Monagas state.
In another event, the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice ratified the 30-year prison sentence imposed on the Aragua state police officer, Junior José García Tovar, for the murder of the Bolivarian National Police official, Rosbely Alexandra Rojas.
