President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva lamented this Saturday (21) the road accident that left more than 30 dead during the early hours of the morning in Teófilo Otoni (MG).Lula regrets deaths that occurred during an accident in Minas Gerais

Through the social network X, Lula expressed solidarity with the victims and said he prays for the recovery of the survivors.

“I am immensely sorry and I send my prayers to the families of the more than 30 fatal victims of the accident in Teófilo Otoni, Minas Gerais. I pray for the recovery of the survivors of this terrible tragedy. The Federal Highway Police is at the scene of the accident, and the federal government is at its disposal provision of the city hall of Teófilo Otoni and the government of Minas Gerais for everything necessary”, stated the president.

According to the Fire Department, the accident involved a collision between a bus, a trailer and a passenger vehicle, on BR-116.

With the shock, the collective caught fire. At least 38 people were burned to death and trapped in the wreckage. Another 13 people managed to get out of the bus alive and were taken to area hospitals.
