President Gustavo Petro is in the department of La Guajira and from there suggested the creation of a ‘bullet train’to encourage tourism in this region of the country.
“What are we going to do with the infrastructure? What is going to happen with the railway line? We would have to look at a railway line that runs in a straight line between this port and Albania, when the railway line is straight, the train can be a high-speed one, imagine, governor, you could have a bullet train here, because the machine is not the best. that makes it fast, but that the path is straight“said the president.
The president pointed out that, If the railway line in that territory is used, an attraction for investors could be the hotel sector.. In this way, Petro stated that this would allow that area of the department of La Guajira to produce sufficient resources that could even exceed the money generated from coal.
