Priority works for CDMX
The Mexico City Expenditure Budget Project for 2025 prioritizes mobility, urban infrastructure, water, security and housing, with historic allocations and significant increases in key items.
The 23,000 million pesos allocated to the Metro stand out, the largest investment in its history, which will be used for the modernization of lines 3 and A.
In addition, a budget of 15,518.5 million for mobility, an increase of 44.6%; and 15,000 million for the water system, an increase of 13.1%. In addition, 13,500 million are contemplated for public works, and 9,000 million for housing, an increase of 89.8%.
The urban infrastructure category, with 13.5 billion pesos, an increase of 12.5%, includes projects such as the Utopías, the rehabilitation of the Calzada de Tlalpan and the Caminos de Mujeres Seguras.
In terms of mobility, the budget includes the development of three new Cablebús lines with 3.5 billion pesos; Also Line 0 of the Metrobús, which will run through the Interior Circuit, will have more than 1,000 million pesos to carry out 40% of the work during 2025.
In addition, 37.8 million pesos will be allocated to the construction of seven new bicycle parking lots as part of the expansion of the Ecobici system, along with 91.1 million for the construction of 40 additional kilometers of bicycle lanes.
