The Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP) categorically rejected the expressions of Congressman Edwin Martínez against the president of the republic, Dina Boluartesince they constitute a serious offense to his investiture and dignity.
“We condemn all forms of violence against women, including verbal expressions, mockery and discriminatory language, in any space or platform. These attacks perpetuate inequalities and violate fundamental rights and should not be tolerated in our society,” he says in a statement.
It also points out that the constant reproduction of these behaviors in the media and social networks is deeply alarming since it reinforces cultural patterns that legitimize these forms of violence.
As is known, Congressman Edwin Martínez called the president a “mule” during an activity held in Cotahuasi, in reference to the continuation of the failed government of Pedro Castillo, which he called a “donkey.”
“Castillo’s donkey left and left Dina Boluarte’s mule,” Martínez said.
