The congresswoman of the Free Peru caucus Katy Ugarte spoke about the Statements provided by the businesswoman Karelim López to the Prosecutor’s Office as an aspiring effective collaboratorin which he mentioned that the President of the Republic, peter castle, would lead a criminal organization. The parliamentarian urged the Public Ministry to work impartially and to confirm the testimony.
“We urge the Public Ministry to act objectively and to corroborate the version of the citizen Karelim López and not to fall under political pressure.because the politicization of justice harms the democratic system,” he told the press from outside Congress.
In this sense, the pro-government legislator maintained that López Arredondo’s statements only cause destabilization of the country, for which he questioned the work of the Prosecutor’s Office for having allowed them to be disseminated. “The Lava Jato Prosecutor’s Office should investigate with objective evidence until the entire process is finished and then only issue the truth,” he said.

Likewise, Ugarte Mamani He also questioned the media for publishing this informationso it slipped that groups that oppose the government of President Castillo would be behind this and would have as their ultimate goal the dismissal of the head of state.
“They release this information in different media outlets with the sole desire to have instability, to have to create a case, to have to see a group of traditional politicians with the desire to vacate the president. Vacating the president is the objective that they have been following day by dayweek by week,” said the former Minister of Women.
“The actions of this group of politicians who want to deal this blow to Peru continue to be exposed, because until now they do not accept having lost these elections. Peru needs stability, governability, we are tired that week after week they orchestrate a series of baseless accusations”, he added.
