The president of the Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Indotel), Guido Gómez Mazara, announced yesterday that 2025 will be the year in which policies in favor of users are generated.
He revealed that decisions will be made that will ensure that users feel that there is a substantial reduction in price combined with an improvement in quality.
He recalled that one of the great discussions that the sector has had is the quality-price ratio of telephone services and, above all, building a concept called meaningful connectivity.
The last measurement parameter carried out by ECLAC in three countries, including the Dominican Republic, established that significant connectivity here is a pending issue, he said.
In 2025, schools, parks and primary care centers, he noted, will be guaranteed the connectivity policy. He announced that starting January 8, the country will know the first decision regarding significantly impacting the quality of users. Guido was interviewed at a lunch offered by Indotel to the press and communicators.
