The Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas returns as a reserve driver for the 2025 season to the German Mercedes team, in which the British George Russell and the Italian Kimi Antonelli are the starters.
Valtteri showed his happiness on his return, speaking to the German team: “I’m happy to finally be able to answer the question I’ve been asking myself for the last month. Returning home to the Mercedes family as the third driver for 2025 is what’s next. and I couldn’t be happier.”
“Despite the challenges of recent years, I know that I still have much more to contribute to F1. “I have been lucky to have enjoyed many incredible moments in my 12 years of racing in F1 so far,” he added.
Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff highlighted the Finn’s “impact” on the team: “Valtteri’s impact and contribution in the five years he was with us previously as our racing driver was immense.”
