The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that the greatest and most effective response to destabilization attempts by extremist sectors “is the permanently mobilized, empowered, conscious people.”
He made the statement when referring to the manipulation of social networks through Artificial Intelligence (AI). “We are in the time of Artificial Intelligence and the war of bots and we are very clear and very determined to build a true democracy and a healthy society of peace and we also have our response to these phenomena,” he emphasized.
This was stated in the state of Miranda, where within the framework of the Health Day, he reopened the “Brisas de Charallave” Comprehensive Diagnostic Center, where he considered that it is of utmost importance to talk “about the immense manipulation to which it is subjected today humanity, such as social networks.”
He explained that “by Artificial Intelligence the bots direct you” and added that the bots are no longer manipulated in the so-called farms.
In this context, he maintained that “there are issues in which they (extremists) start campaigns, for example, they have an idiotic campaign right now, on the issue of violence, January 10, to try to intimidate our people.”
“We must confront these campaigns on the networks, all these campaigns are done with Artificial Intelligence by more influencers to try to disturb the peace of mind and tranquility of our People and their right to happiness at Christmas,” he stressed.
