89.2 percent of Cubans with a complete anti-COVID-19 scheme

The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported today that nine million 880 thousand 844 Cubans – 89.2 percent of the population – have the complete vaccination scheme against COVID-19.

According to the site of that portfolio, 10 million 608 thousand 45 citizens received a dose of national immunizers, they already have the second nine million 373 thousand 568, and nine million 52 thousand 510 the third.

The island accumulates 34 million 988 thousand four administered doses of the Cuban vaccines Sovereign 02, Sovereign Plus and Abdala, the MINSAP specified.

Cuban immunogens are safe and without serious adverse effects.

The strategy is specified in a staggered manner, aimed at achieving greater protection against new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

According to the National Office of Statistics and Information of Cuba, the population of the island at the end of 2020 was about 11 million 180 thousand inhabitants.
