The agreement has already materialized open skies between Dominican Republic and USAthis last nation approved three routes to the Dominican airline Arajet.
It’s about the destinations New York, Miami and Puerto Rico, that had been in application for two years, reported the Minister of Tourism, David Collado.
“Now all Dominican airlines will be able to fly to more destinations, and increase competitiveness with the most important market for the country: USA“Collado published in X.

Hours before, the president Luis Abinader also used his X account to confirm that the procedures to take effect on the Bilateral Agreement of Air transport called “open skies.”
Abinader reported that it was good news for the country, since the agreement will allow both nations to fly over the other party’s territory without landing, make stops in their territory for non-commercial purposes and make international air transport between the points defined in the agreement.
Among the objectives of the agreement is to boost tourism from the USAwhich is the main source of vacationers. Likewise, national airlines can fly to any destination in that nation and vice versa.
