Within the framework of a press conference, in which the Mayor of Cerro Largo participated, the Commercial and Industrial Center offered details of what will be a new edition of the so-called Open Sky Shopping.
The proposal, which seeks to encourage sales in businesses in the downtown area of the city of Melo through discounts and promotions, will take place next Monday, December 23, starting at 7:30 p.m.
“It is an activity that the Shopping Center has been carrying out year after year with the support of the Municipality and fundamentally of all the merchants who adhere to it. Separate chapter for the population that actually makes it possible with its presence on Aparicio Saravia Street” stood out Andrés Martínez.
The President of the organizing institution considers that more than a commercial activity, Open Sky Shopping is an activity of social integration. “We want to integrate commerce with the population so that consumption is greater” he stated.
This year, new attractions will be added, such as shows and games for children, all at no cost to participants. In Saravia between Varela and Wilson Ferreira there will be a catwalk for a group of models from the Vicky Ramos Ortiz Academy to parade. The singer Diego Aguiar will also perform and a dance school will make its presentation.
In the block between Remigio Castellanos and José Pedro Varela, a space will be created for the little ones with different games for children of all ages.

The head of the Cerro Largo merchants union recalled that with any purchase, customers will be able to claim a coupon to participate in the January 8 draw where a motorcycle, cell phones, a television and purchase orders will be given away.

“It is an activity that we have been accompanying for many years. From the beginning, when we were in another function within the same Municipality, we have had the pleasure of accompanying what is already traditional for us” he reflected José Yurramendi.

DON FRANCISCO MARKET
On the same Monday, one of the areas of the project located in the old Municipal Market of the city will be opened for public use and by the institutions of the environment.
“We wanted to include Mercado Don Francisco in the Open Sky Shopping. That is why one of its wings, the events wing, will be inaugurated that same night.” confirmed Yurramendi.
“We invite the population to come there to learn about and see the current state of the old Mercado and future Mercado Don Francisco” remarked the Mayor of Cerro Largo.
