This is because Torres Saravia was hired by his Alianza Por el Progreso (APP) group to hold that position.
The congressmen of Fuerza Popular, Fernando Rospigliosi; from Avanza País, José Williams; and from Renovación Popular, Esdras Medina, assured Perú21 that this explanation must be given by Salhuana in a session of the Permanente, which would be next Friday the 27th.
According to Rospigliosi, the Prosecutor’s Office can carry out the investigation of this case and at the same time the Oversight Commission can continue with the investigations.
For his part, Medina sent a letter to the Oversight Commission to summon all those involved in this case, such as the general secretary of APP, Luis Valdez.
Williams pointed out that the Permanent Commission should give the commission chaired by Juan Burgos special powers to investigate the cause and make subpoenas of degree or strength.
The former head of the Dircote, José Baella, told this medium that the Prosecutor’s Office should give Torres Saravia preventive detention to prevent his escape.
