Delcy Rodríguez, vice president and Minister of Petroleum, announced a change in the name of the Ministry of Petroleum. He announced that the Executive portfolio, as of this Wednesday, December 18, will be renamed the Ministry of Hydrocarbons.

Delcy Rodríguez indicated that she also promises to present Venezuela as a power country in energy matters and, simultaneously, promote national development.
«We are meeting here the board of directors of Petróleos de Venezuela and the Board of Directors of the Ministry, which as of today becomes the Ministry of Hydrocarbons. This is a comprehensive policy. It is not only oil, it is also gas, petrochemicals, and the comprehensive vision of giving a boost to this industry,” Rodríguez said in a short video published on social networks.
