A subject was arrested this Wednesday, December 18, by members of the Zone Command No. 52 of the Bolivarian National Guard (CZGNB-52) on the Guanta-Cumaná highway, with more than 5 kilos of drugs.
The stash was detected with the support of the canine “Killer”, during a routine inspection that was carried out at the Citizen Service Point (PAC) of Pertigalete, in a cart per position that left the Puerto la Cruz terminal in the state of Anzoátegui, bound for the city of Cumaná in the state of Sucre.
According to reports from officials, the subject identified as Alexander José Febres was carrying eight wrappers (5 wrappers of marijuana and 3 of cocaine) in two cardboard boxes wrapped in black plastic, which contained 2 kilos 630 grams of cocaine and 3 kilos 20 grams of marijuana (in total 5 kilo 650 grams).
The Public Ministry of the Anzoatiguense entity was notified of the procedure.
In an informative minute, the command states that “from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces we continue to fight in the fight against drugs in maximum popular-military-police fusion, to continue guaranteeing peace and security to the people in the state of Anzoátegui.”
