Prosecutor’s Office opened investigation against Jorge Torres for alleged crime of sexual exploitation

The Lima Central Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Human Trafficking Crimes (Team 1) opened a preliminary investigation against Jorge Torres Saravia, former official of the Congress of the Republicfor the crime of sexual exploitation, to the detriment of unidentified women.

The office received the result of the verification procedures carried out by the First Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of San Luis – La Victoria and also ordered that the Human Trafficking Investigation Division of the National Police carry out the useful, necessary and pertinent procedures for the clarification of the facts.

As is known, the president of the Oversight Commission of the Congress of the Republic, Juan Burgos, asked the Public Ministry to investigate the complaint about the alleged existence of a prostitution network in that branch of the State.

The parliamentarian specified that next Thursday, December 26, the Human Resources manager, the interim manager of the Legal and Constitutional Office and the Legislative Attorney will be summoned to his work group.

“We want the head of Human Resources to explain to us what were the requirements that were requested for the entry of personnel to the Legal Advisory Office, what were the criteria for appointing Jorge Torres Saravia and if it was known that said official would have been reported. for the crime of rape against a former worker of the Regional Government of La Libertad in 2019,” he indicated.

For his part, Congressman Esdras Medina, from Renovación Popular, told Perú21 that the Oversight Commission “must investigate this case,” and announced that he will send a letter to that office requesting this request.

Last Friday, the president of Congress, Eduardo Salhuana, fired the head of Legal Counsel, Jorge Luis Torres Saravia, for being involved in this complaint revealed on Willax TV.

MURDER OF ANDREA VIDAL

This tax investigation comes after Andrea Vidal, former advisor to Torres Saravia in the Congress of the Republic, was murdered after being linked to an alleged prostitution network that operated in Parliament.

According to a newspaper report, Andrea Vidal was appointed to her position in exchange for certain ‘favors’, including finding women to work as sexual servants in Congress.

“I do not hire them directly; that is done by the human resources department. I know some of them. I have worked in an office with one and I have met the others recently,” said Jorge Torres Saravia in said television program.

This alleged business would have been in operation until they had a fight three months ago, at which time Vidal was removed from her position.
