The detainee, known as alias ‘Gallina’, would be involved in migrant trafficking.
The authorities captured Johan Michael García Rojas, alias ‘Gallina’, in Cali, identified as the leaders of the criminal group ‘Tren de Aragua’, who was wanted by the Venezuelan justice system through an Interpol red notice.
According to the official report, crimes are attributed to the detaineesuch as drug trafficking, terrorist financing, inter alia.
“The articulated action of the Attorney General’s Office and the Dijín of the National Police allowed us to learn information about the location of Johan Michael García Rojas, alias ‘Gallina’, one of the indicated top leaders of the criminal group ‘Tren de Aragua’, who was wanted by means of a red notice from Interpol in response to a request from the Venezuelan justice system,” the bulletin reads.

According to the authorities of the neighboring country, alias ‘Gallina’ would be responsible for supplying weapons and drugs from Colombia to the state of Aragua and would be involved in migrant smuggling.
“Alias ’Gallina’ would be the main supplier of firearms for the illegal structure and the coordinator of the shipment of drug shipments from Colombia to the state of Aragua (Venezuela). Additionally, would be involved in migrant smuggling through service vehicles especially from the border area of Norte de Santander to Nariño, and its subsequent passage to the territory of Ecuador,” the document adds.
The detainee was left at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office while the procedures for his transfer to Venezuela are carried out, where he must answer for crimes of trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substancescriminal association, arms and ammunition trafficking, and financing of terrorism.
In the middle of the capture operation, The authorities seized two cell phones from Johan Michael García Rojasan agenda and financial documents of interest for investigations.
