Four men were sent to the Yare III Capital Region Penitentiary Center after being accused of trying to murder a teenager in Ocumare del Tuy, Tomás Lander municipality of Miranda state.
Julio Navas, director of the Tomás Lander Autonomous Municipal Police Institute, reported that the detainees were identified as José Gregorio López (32), known as “Goyo”; Roider Enrique Pantoja Melo (31), alias “Tucuso”; Juan Yonneiver Mota Díaz (27) and Rodney Eduardo Bandes Martínez (29), nicknamed “Ronny”; from whom an Empire brand motorcycle, model Ek-Express 150, blue, year 2024, was seized when he tried to flee and which was taken as evidence.
He said that, early on Thursday, December 12, in the La Laguna sector of the Aragüita IV urbanization, six individuals allegedly beat a teenager, causing her serious injuries. The young girl entered the General Hospital of the Valles del Tuy Simón Bolívar where she was treated by doctors, who, upon attending to her critical state of health, reported the previous case to the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (Cpnna) of the Tomás Lander municipality. .
The Twenty-Second Prosecutor’s Office (22nd) of the Public Ministry was also aware of the event, whose prosecutors coordinated the investigations jointly with the Cicpc.
“Four of the six subjects, after being captured in operations carried out in the San Basilio and Aragüita sectors, were placed under the orders of the Judiciary. Currently, they are on the trail of two more criminals nicknamed “El Gato” and El Reyerson,” said the official.
He specified that Mota Díaz presents a police record before the Integrated Police Information System (Siipol) from 2016 for aggravated homicide.
Navas explained that, during a hearing held in the Valles del Tuy Extension Criminal Judicial Circuit, this Monday, the Court of First Instance agreed to the preventive judicial deprivation of liberty for José Gregorio López and Roider Enrique Pantoja Melo, pointing them out as co-authors of the crime of homicide. qualified intentional, executed with treachery for futile and ignoble motives in a degree of frustration and aggravation. Likewise, Rodney Eduardo Bandes Martínez and Juan Yonneiver Mota Díaz were charged as necessary accomplices in the same crimes.
The four criminals will be transferred to the Capital Yare III Regional Penitentiary Center, where they will remain detained by order of the respective court.
