Lula receives a visit from Chico Buarque in São Paulo

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received, this Tuesday (17), a visit from singer Chico Buarque. Since last Sunday (15), when he was discharged from hospital, Lula has been at his home in the capital of São Paulo and has been receiving visitors. On social media, Lula posted a photo with the artist.

“Nothing better than welcoming friends at home. Today, Janjinha and I had a very special visit. We welcomed Chico Buarque and Carol Proner, in São Paulo. It’s always a joy to have you around. A samba to brighten the day”, he said in the message.

This Monday morning (16), the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, met with the President of the Republic in São Paulo. Haddad reported that one of the The topics of the meeting were the fiscal package.

Lula is recovering from emergency surgery, carried out last week, to contain intracranial bleeding. He was discharged from Hospital Sírio-Libanês, but will remain at his residence in Alto de Pinheiros, in São Paulo, until at least this Thursday (19) to undergo exams and medical follow-up.
