The general commander of the National Police, Victor Zanabriajustified the retirement of the PNP colonel Harvey Colchado and another 318 police officers. In that sense, he indicated that all actions taken by the police entity are subject to review.

“It is revenge, retaliation, the creation of a structured plan that I believe the Prosecutor’s Office already has enough material to specify the accusation that this case will give. [caso Rolex]”he indicated.
Zanabria, for his part, responded to the lawyer and asserted that it is not revenge because not only the PNP colonel retired, but also 318 other troops.
“There is no revenge, we are talking about 319 revenges and I believe that is not the adjective that can be given to a regular procedure of the activities carried out by the PNP,” he said in RPP.
“His own lawyer has questioned all the activities that the PNP has carried out; I ask, do the other 318 officers have no questions?” he added.
Likewise, the general commander of the PNP indicated that “the sanctions that the colonel has, do not allow him to be assigned positions similar to those he has been occupying for five years.”
