The traditional New Year’s party on Avenida Paulista will have free shows by Roberta Miranda, Gloria Groove, MC Livinho, Junior Lima and also a gospel performance with Thales Roberto and Renascer Praise. The Paulista New Year’s Eve countdown will be in charge of the country duo Bruno and Marrone. In between shows there will be performances by MCs and DJs.
The party, which will be led by dancer Ivi Mesquita and funk artist Bio G3, will start at 4:30 pm on December 31st. It will close in the early hours of January 1st with a performance by the samba school Mocidade Alegre, winner of the São Paulo Carnival in 2024.
The expectation of the São Paulo city hall is that Paulista New Year’s Eve will attract around two million people.
Stage and fireworks
This year, the scenery on the Paulista stage was inspired by literature, displaying phrases about the city of São Paulo. The stage, which began to be set up last week, is being installed between Haddock Lobo and Bela Cintra streets.
The fireworks display, informed by the city hall, should last around 10 minutes and, according to the municipal administration, will be quieter, seeking to preserve the health and well-being of people more sensitive to noise and also pets.
