Messi on Yamal: "The award (Golden Boy) is the result of talent, hard work and sacrifice"

Argentine forward Lionel Messi congratulated Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal on Monday for the Golden Boy award, which he considered the fruit of “not only talent, but hard work and sacrifice.”

Messi, in a message on his 21 years of the European leagues.

“Lamine, Vicky: this award is the result not only of talent, but of hard work and sacrifice. It is an honor that you are part of the Messi+10. Congratulations and keep up the good work!” said the Argentine forward of Inter Miami in reference to the boot brand of the sports brand that sponsors him, which only eleven footballers in the world wear besides him.

Lamal, 17, and Vicky López, 18, did not attend the gala held in the Italian city of Turin, where there was no representative from Barcelona.

Both join a list of honors that includes Messi, who won the award in 2005 when he was a member of Barcelona.
