Since the beginning of December thousands of resident dominicans in it foreignro, many of them having not come to their homeland for several years, arrive through the Las Americas International Airport José Francisco Peña Gómez (AILA) to pass these christmas festivities and receive the new year in the company of family and friends.
In the waiting area of the important air port, hundreds of people arrive every day this December to wait for the flights that come at different times from USA, Europe and other countries where a family member or friend arrives. With flowers, stuffed animals, balloon arrangements, etc., many people wait for their loved ones.

Men, women and children with their faces full of emotion, sheltered; Some with bags of hands and backpacks, others loaded with suitcases, left the customs and checkpoint area to look for the family member who was waiting for them.
There were effusive hugs, kisses on the mouth and cheeks, sometimes tears, but in the end laughter, then they left.

“Nothing like this country, damn!” said a 35-year-old man who was received by two others who seemed to be his partying company. “Although I didn’t bring you what you told me, I brought you something better,” the man said again, looking at one of the companions.
