SANTO DOMINGO.- The Prime Minister of HaitiAlix Didier Fils-Aimé, appointed Wooldy Edson Louidor as its new ambassador to the Dominican Republic.
The information was released by the Zile Foundationchaired by the former Haitian consul Edwin Paraisonthrough a statement published on their social networks in which the aforementioned designation salutes.
“The F.Z. greets the designation Woodly Edson Louidorresearcher and professor at the Pontifical Javeriana University, a prominent member of the Haitian diaspora in Colombia as new Ambassador in the DR. An expert on immigration issues has a lot to contribute in this sensitive area,” says the foundation’s publication.

Wooldy Edson Louidor it’s a Colombian and Haitian researchergraduate in Philosophy and Social Sciences, master’s degree in Latin American Philosophy and doctor in Philology.
He has several publications, including books, book chapters and articles in scientific and indexed journalsin Spanish, French and with some texts in Haitian Creole, English and German.
He is a specialist in migration studies, from an interdisciplinary perspective. He has conducted situated research, particularly in boundaries, and articulated conceptual keyscategories and novel approaches in this emerging field of study, such as: «sociology of uprooting», «ambivalent topical hermeneutics», «strokes and traces», «textures of agency and folds of vulnerability», «analogical hospitality», among others.
Likewise, he has researched Haitian, Colombian and Venezuelan migration, practically throughout the entire American continent, mainly in the Dominican Republic and South America. His topics of interest are: migration, Caribbean, uprooting, literature, philosophical hermeneutics, philology, among others.
