Lawyer Waldys Taveras stated that the solid waste law is not being applied in the country due to a slow, expensive bureaucracy without vision of the need of the State, which has the Ministry of the Environment.
He indicated that a lot of money is being borrowed for solid waste management that goes into studies and analysis, paid especially to foreign technicians, which he describes as a deception.
