The Mayor’s Office of Bogotá has been developing different types of platforms and communication channels so that those people who are looking for employment and training courses can have the information available. Below is the link to access and find out about the vacancies available by cell phone.
In joint work with the Secretariat of Economic Development (SDDE), in the month of September, the city government opened a WhatsApp channel called ‘Employment in Bogotá’.
“It is an exclusive tool for dissemination and rapid and direct information to all citizens about employment days, job training programs, among others,” indicates the Mayor’s page.
To be able to access job proposals from WhatsApp you must:
1. Login to the following link: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaiShJNBvvsiioOo7c0U
2.Once in the application, go to the section “News”, select “Search channels”, and search for “Employment in Bogotá.
3. Social Networks: You can also enter the social networks of the District Secretariat of Economic Development of Bogotá (such as Instagram or TikTok), where you will find the link in the profile description to join the channel.
4. The Users will receive information about available vacancies, including positions such as business advisors, restaurant assistants, and machinery operators
5. The channel also offers access to free courses that help improve skills such as spreadsheet management and digital marketing.
6. Also Advice is provided on how to prepare for interviews, craft an effective resume, and develop communication skills.

“We invite people looking for work to join this information channel and those who already have a job, we also invite them to join and share the link with their acquaintances” explained Yolima López, deputy director of Employment and Training of the Ministry of Economic Development (SDDE), months ago when the project began.
