Stephanie Alvarado, Miss Santa Cruz 2024, decided to raise her voice and tell about a difficult moment she experienced this year. She made her pain public on her social networks.

“Months have passed since that August night, a night that marked my life forever. I want to start by saying that the corresponding complaint was made and I followed all the necessary steps. “This is an official process, which is being investigated by the prosecution, and I trust that justice will do its job,” he began in his Instagram post.

She confesses that, that night, three guys snatched something that is hers by right. “My body, my peace, my dreams, and a large part of my joy for living. However, they did not take everything. They left a deep trauma, endless sleepless nights, a constant fear and an emptiness that I cannot explain with words,” he confessed.

The beauty queen explained that she didn’t tell it before, why? Simply out of fear, out of shame, out of that need to protect oneself as a public figure and avoid controversy.

“I isolated myself from the world, lost 8 kilos in just five days, faced two surgeries and sank into a deep depression. I closed my social networks and distanced myself from everyone. “They were dark months, full of indescribable pain.”

However, today he decides not to remain silent anymore. Today she comes out of that silence because she is not willing to give up. Although this experience broke her, He has a motive stronger than all the pain: his son, Lucas.

“I know some people wonder: ‘If you’re sick, why do you go out?’ And I want you to believe me when I tell you that going out for me is much more complicated than staying home. Going out means facing my fears, dealing with the looks, the memories and the weight of what I experienced. But I’ve been locked up for too long. I go out because I’m trying to heal, because I want to rebuild myself for myself and my son. It is not easy, but it is necessary,” he assured.

Stephanie says that as long as she wears a sash or a crown, she has a responsibility: to be a voice for all the women who have gone through this or something similar.

“Today I want you to know that you are not alone. None of us are guilty of what they did to us. Today I break the silence because it is time to heal and help heal. Let us remember that we are strong, brave and worthy,” concluded Miss.

This testimony highlights the importance of solidarity and mutual support, as well as the value of face fear to overcome trauma and contribute to collective well-being.
