The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced that the honor guard of the Military House will incorporate components from militia groups.
“Approved with a popular and militia character of the Military House of the Honor Guard, founded by Bolívar, the Militia Brigades (as), which will have the maximum training and popular articulation,” President Maduro exclaimed this Tuesday from the Miraflores Palace, where he received the mobilization of farmers, fishermen, community members and aquaculturists, who took to the streets to commemorate the 165 years of the Battle of Santa Inés.
Maduro assured that militia houses will be created within the Military House, with the maximum military training,” he said.
He insisted that this civil-military union will have the participation of the Popular Power, the neighborhoods, the catacombs of the people and the organized people, “since with this the military house is being converted into a militia military house.”
The President recalled the role in the history of the country, in which Zamora was the first to bring the ideas of utopian socialism of the 19th century to the Homeland, just when he took up arms against the oligarchy that had betrayed Bolívar in 1859. , with three slogans that currently shake the people and that Commander Hugo Chávez brought with him to the 21st century: “Free men and lands, popular election and horror of the oligarchy.”
“I swear to you that this house, which belongs to the people, will never fall into the hands of a puppet of the oligarchy or imperialism. “For now and forever, it will be the house of the people!” Maduro declared.
The participants of the march to commemorate the 165 years of the battle of Santa Inés, among farmers, fishermen, workers and students, raised their voices in honor of one of the most significant feats that granted the country’s freedom, as well as for the policies agrarian initiatives promoted by the current Government.
The battle of Santa Inés continues to be a symbol of inspiration for current generations, in their efforts to build a more just and equitable future.
