Bolívar continues to advance at a steady pace in the Clausura 2025. In reality, he is the great favorite to win the title, since with the victory against San Antonio by 1-3 at the Carlos Villegas in Entre Ríos, he added 58 points and already leads 10 points to The Strongest who is his escort. Carlos Melgar was the best.

San Antonio appeared on their court with the hope of adding and continuing to remain undefeated against their ‘heavy’ rival. What’s more, it was the opportunity to measure how they are facing a possible ‘finalisima’ that will pit the Apertura champion (San Antonio) against the best of the Clausura.

What’s more, they started winning, but in the second half the team collapsed and wasted the option to liquidate. Bolívar, on the other hand, took advantage of the spaces that his rival gave up and finished him off. Finally the leader was able to overcome a team that had become ‘the black beast’ on their field.

The first stage was hectic because they both went out to look for each other. In reality, the local team struck first at 13′ with a cross shot from José Vitor Trindade, which hit Rubén Cordano’s left post and the ball hugged the net. That 1-0 made the Cochabambinos excited.

But Bolívar was going to react, especially due to the good handling from the middle by ‘Tonino’ Melgar, which was vital in generating risk. Shortly before, he demanded Kevin Vera, until at 42′, already in the final stretch of the first half, he made it 1-1 after a back pass from ‘Menona’ Saucedo.

It was just a tie until that moment because Bolívar had insisted on arriving mainly from the wings. The local team, through Sebastián Viveros, had a chance to unbalance after a counterattack, but failed. In the end, with a partial tie, they went to half-time; the best was coming.

There Bolívar took the opportunity to establish a presence, since at 52′ he made it 1-2 through Yomar Rocha, who finished well a backward cross sent by Bruno Savio. Despite Vera’s attempt to deflect the trajectory of the ball, the second was sealed. The game was headed to the academy.

And that was confirmed when a foul by Gustavo Olguín, at 76′ (he grabbed Fernando Saucedo), caused referee Ivo Méndez to declare the maximum penalty. Melgar asked for it and sealed the 1-3 score at 80′ of the game. Bolívar was finally able to celebrate against a team that had taken his measure.
