The National High School Exam (Enem) 2024 will be reapplied this Tuesday (10) and Wednesday (11) to participants who had any logistical problems or were ill.
On this first day, the gates will open at 12pm and close at 1pm (Brasília time) so that, from 1:30pm, participants can resolve questions about languages, codes and their technologies; essay; and human sciences and their technologies.
The tests can be completed up to 7pm at the regular time, with an additional hour added for candidates whose requests for additional time have been approved.
The National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) this year received 10,219 requests for reapplication of Enem 2024. 1,023 requests of this total were approved.
The regular Enem 2024 tests were administered on the 3rd and 10th of November.
Tomorrow, the second test of this edition will be reapplied with questions on natural sciences and mathematics and their technologies. Unlike today’s test, the deadline for completing the exam will end at 6:30 pm.
Enem PPL
On the same dates, tests will be administered to another 97,016 participants who have registered for the National High School Examination for Persons Deprived of Liberty or under a socio-educational measure that includes deprivation of liberty (Enem PPL) 2024. The application will take place in 785 municipalities distributed across all states and the Federal District.
According to data released by Inep, those registered – the majority (46.2%) – are aged between 21 and 45 years old. Young people between 18 and 30 years old represent 41.6% of candidates and participants aged 46 to 59 make up 9.6%.
Applicants over 60 years of age correspond to 1.6% and those under 18 represent 0.9% of candidates. Of the total number of registrants, 1,374 candidates had their request for specialized care granted.
Assessment
Created in 1998, Enem assesses students’ academic performance at the end of basic education and is also the main gateway to higher education in the country.
The assessment results can be used to access the Unified Selection System (Sisu) and the University for All Program (ProUni). They are also accepted in private institutions and in other Portuguese-speaking countries that have an agreement with Brazil.
Students who have not completed high school can also participate as self-assessment trainers in the years before completing basic education.
