Migration analyzes foreign labor in productive sectors

The Address General of Migration (DGM) reported this Monday that he has met with representatives of various sectors productive areas of the country to analyze possible solutions, adjusted to current immigration regulations and the requirements of foreign labor to work in their activities.

In a press release it is explained that officials of the DGMled by Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester, have had meetings with representatives of the producers bananas, rice, bananas, coffee, cocoa, beans, and avocados, chickens, eggs; and of the ranchers and pig farmers.

He also reported that they have met with directors of the Association Dominican Builders and Housing Developers (Acoprovi), Association of Builders from Santo Domingo Este (Acosde), Association of Promoters and Builders of Cibao (Aprocovici), Association of builders and Developers of Altagracia (Adecla) and Tourism Business Alliance of La Altagracia (Aleta).

The note indicates that Lee Ballester raised the need to carry out a detailed survey to quantify the specific labor needs of each sector, which will allow designing strategies more adjusted to the demands of the marketalways based on current immigration regulations and laws.

During the meetings, the head of the DGM pointed out that for a worker foreigner have a status legal immigration in the country, it is essential that, when starting the local procedures, you present valid identity documents issued by the authorities of your country of origin.
