The president of the Republic, peter castlegave a message to the nation this Sunday, February 27, after it was made public last Sunday that the businesswoman Karelim López accepted effective collaboration and revealed the existence of an alleged criminal organization that would operate from the Presidency and that the president would lead.
Castillo Terrones rejected the statements made by the aspiring collaborator. In this sense, she called on the Public Ministry to speed up the investigations and meet the deadlines.
“Given the spread in the media of the alleged statements of an aspiring effective collaborator attributing illicit acts to me, I categorically reject it.. I am addressing the Peruvian people as president and as a citizen to demand that the Prosecutor’s Office continue with the investigations that have been initiated and, within the most coherent period, provide objective and consistent explanations with justice,” said the head of state.
In that sense, the president questioned that this issue is disseminated in the press media, while it is investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office, for which he slipped that the institution would be trying to attack the Executive.
“If these facts are the subject of a tax investigation, how is it possible that they be publicly debated in the media? This shows that the Prosecutor’s Office would be part of a plot to destabilize the Government”, he stated.
“There is a minority sector that will never accept our popular and democratic government. Today they seek to vacate us so as not to solve the big problems that our country has. The Peruvian people and the international community know of the anti-democratic and coup-mongering will of this minority sector,” she added.

Karelim López would have accepted effective collaboration
Entrepreneur and business promoter Karelim López Arredondo would have accepted the effective collaboration after a new investigation initiated against him by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in Money Laundering, in charge of Luz Taquire Reynoso.
The Republic verified the existence of a declaration of effective collaboration offered to the Prosecutor’s Office, which various official sources attribute to López Arredondo. In this the existence of an alleged criminal organization headed by President Pedro Castillo is revealed, which would have infiltrated the Government Palace, various ministries and the Congress of the Republic.
