Coparmex businessmen demand action in the face of violence crisis in Sinaloa

“We support and are in solidarity with what they are experiencing and we express our demand to the authorities to recover security, justice and peace in Culiacán and the state of Sinaloa,” said José Medina Mora Icaza, national president of Coparmex, during the Ordinary Elective Assembly of Coparmex.

Meanwhile, Martha Elena Reyes Zazueta, president of Coparmex Sinaloa, shared a message of deep gratitude and hope.

“We ask society to see the support of Copamex at the national level, that we are not willing to normalize violence, to normalize injustice, to normalize economic instability. Thank you to everyone who is here. We will be able to move forward in Sinaloa and in all the states that are required,” said Reyes Zazueta.

Coparmex said that the situation in Sinaloa is alarming. Clashes between criminal groups have significantly increased the rates of violence, affecting not only the safety of people, but also the economic stability of the region. Business closures and economic losses reflect a crisis that requires forceful and immediate actions to protect the integrity and future of the population.

“At Coparmex, we make a decisive call to the three levels of government to implement effective strategies that guarantee security and allow companies to operate without restrictions. Collaboration between authorities, armed forces and the productive sector is essential to restore trust and generate an environment of peace and prosperity in Sinaloa, Coparmex highlighted.
