Saint Dominic.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) discontinued the green alert level for the provinces of Puerto Plata and Espaillat.
The COE made the decision based on today’s report from the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET), which establishes that the incidence of an air mass with reduced humidity content associated with a high pressure system will be favoring mostly sunny conditions.

However, the cloudy remnants of a dissipated frontal system, the east/northeast wind and local effects will induce, during the afternoon and during the night, some cloudy weather with local showers.
For tomorrow, Sunday, it is expected that a frontal system will be approaching the country from early morning hours, therefore cloudy weather will occur occasionally accompanied by scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in towns on the northern coast, Cibao Valley and the Central Mountain Range, such as : Monte Cristi, Puerto Plata, Espaillat, Mirabal Sisters, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, Samaná, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Altagracia, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Santiago, among other areas.
These conditions will be observed sporadically throughout the day and night hours, but are not expected to be significant in terms of cumulative conditions.
