Concepción, capital of the Ñuflo de Chávez province, celebrates its patron saint’s day and 315th anniversary, this Sunday, December 8, with a notable population growth.

According to official data from the 2024 Census, the municipality had the largest increase in the department of Santa Cruz and the country, with 60 percent, in relation to 2012.

According to the report of the National Institute of Statistics (INE), Concepción has 30,109 inhabitants, 11,309 more than the previous consultation when it scored 18,800 people.

This important vegetative growth will allow us to receive a greater amount of income from the State, but it will also force the municipality to advance at the same time in providing basic services.

“Until now the needs of the more than 30 thousand inhabitants with a budget for 18 thousand, Despite this, works have been carried out, not impactful, but important for the population,” said councilor Huascar Cusi.

In the opinion of the leader of the Chiquitano Cabildo, Carlos Alberto Hidalgo, lhe most urgent requirements are in the health and education sector. “There is a lack of specialists in the hospital and patients continue to be transferred to the city of Santa Cruz.”
