These are the candidates for the Court on the preliminary list of the Legislative Branch

The Electoral Court plans to give "green light" to the judicial election

Supreme Court candidates

In June 2025, five female ministers and four male ministers will be elected to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation. Among the candidates with effective registration on the list of the Legislative Branch seeking one of these positions are:

Julio César Bonilla
He is Commissioner of the Institute of Transparency, Access to Public Information, Protection of Personal Data and Accountability of Mexico City (Info-CDMX).

Paula María García Villegas Sánchez Cordero
Daughter of the former minister of the SCJN, Olga Sánchez Cordero.

Roberto Gil Zuarth
Former federal representative of the PAN. Undersecretary of Government of the Ministry of the Interior and private secretary of the Presidency during the six-year term of former President Felipe Calderón.

Sara Irene Herrerías Guerra
Human Rights Prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).

Gilberto Higuera Bernal
Current prosecutor of the state of Puebla. He also worked in the former Attorney General’s Office (PGR) as deputy attorney general and, later, as deputy attorney for criminal procedures and protection. In 2020, former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked to investigate Higuera Bernal’s links with the former Secretary of Public Security, Genaro García Luna, convicted in the United States of drug trafficking and organized crime.

Ana María Ibarra Olguín.
She was Secretary of Study and Account in the Presentation of former Minister Arturo Zaldívar.

Ricardo Peralta Saucedo
He was head of Customs during the López Obrador government.

Gabriel Regis Lopez
Sixteenth District Judge in administrative matters in CDMX. He spoke publicly in favor of judicial reform.

José Luis Rodríguez Díaz de León
Former Morena deputy in CDMX and former local Secretary of Labor in the governments of Claudia Sheinbaum and Martí Batres.

Eduardo Santillán Pérez
Former mayoral delegate Álvaro Obregón for the PRD. He was also a deputy for Morena in the local Congress and representative of the same party before the Electoral Institute of Mexico City.

Ricardo Sodi Cuellar
President of the Superior Court of Justice of the State of Mexico.

Anacleta López Vega
Current office manager of the General Secretariat of Government of the governor of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado.

Jesus George Zamora
Legal Counsel of the Government of the State of Mexico, headed by Delfina Gómez.

María Estela Ríos González.
Former legal advisor to the government of former President López Obrador.

Luis Euripides Alejandro Flores Pacheco
Former substitute representative of Morena before the INE.

Marisela Morales Ibáñez
Former head of the defunct PGR during the six-year term of Felipe Calderón.
