Man sentenced to 20 years for raping 11-year-old stepdaughter

Condenan hombre a 20 años por violar hijastra de 11 años

Santo Domingo.-A man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being found guilty of sexually raping an 11-year-old girl, who is daughter of his ex-partner sentimental.

The Collegiate Court of the judicial district of Espaillat handed down the conviction against the defendant by establishing that he committed the crimes of sexual abuse and rape to the detriment of the teenager.

The names of both were omitted to protect the identity of the victim.

The accusation was presented by the prosecutor of Félix Heredia Heredia and accepted by judges Hilda Nieves Sánchez Luna, president of the court); Isaías Ronaldo Martínez Pérez and Johanna Giselle Reyes Moquete.

The accusation indicates that the man raped the girl when he lived with her mother. The defendant committed the acts at a time when the victim was in her room, in a home she shared with other family members.

The case was reported on August 12, 2022 to the Monte Plata care unit.
