According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the gang specialized in copying fingerprints of users of the financial system using latex plates. Once the cards were obtained, the members of the network carried out fraudulent transactions, purchasing products or withdrawing money from the linked accounts, all under the false identity of the original owners of the data.
Captures and judicial proceedings
After investigative work, the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), in collaboration with the Gaula of the National Army and the National Police, carried out several procedures in the aforementioned cities, which resulted in the capture of nine alleged members of this organization. criminal.
