This Saturday, several main streets and avenues in the capital of the Dominican Republic registered intense traffic jams, which has complicated the movement of hundreds of drivers.
Among the most critical points are 27 de Febrero, John F. Kennedy, Máximo Gómez, Los Girasoles, Autopista Duarte and the Republic of Colombia avenues. Long lines of vehicles move at a slow pace, affecting both urban traffic and connections with other areas of the city.
Given this situation, agents of the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (Digesett) They have been deployed at various strategic points to facilitate traffic flow and relieve congestion.
Recently Milton Morrison, director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant), recommended that the population use GPS applications to avoid highly congested intersections.
The official urged people to plan the routes in advance and thus leave the place an hour before and arrive on time.
