Ecuadorians cannot cross the Ukrainian border

This Sunday, February 27, 2022, is the fourth day of war. One of the groups of Ecuadorian students trying to cross the border had no luck. Others have returned to the cities where they lived.

The Foreign Ministry has informed, in the early hours of the morning, that it is estimated that there is an agglomeration of more than 4 thousand people at each border crossing. That was said in the WhatsApp chats of Ecuadorians who are trying to flee the conflict and the families that follow them from Ecuador.

“Our team is on Slovak territory. However, the Ukrainians are only letting out mostly women and children” was another of the official explanations. Indeed, they have contacted Diario la Hora, students who have waited more than 12 hours near immigration controls, being cold, hungry, tired, and forced to stay on their feet so as not to be run over by the stampedes. Some have returned to cities like Lviv or Ivano Franksvk because they said that leaving is impossible.

A few minutes ago, it was also confirmed that the group of students who left Zaporizhzhia he had no luck in Lviv to get out and now they are heading for the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
