A new cut of water will affect the commune of Santiago this Thursday, according to Aguas Andinas. The measure will be implemented to make improvements to water infrastructure, seeking to guarantee a more robust and efficient service in the long term.
The suspension is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5 to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6. Residents should take precautions to cope with the interruption of the supplyespecially in essential activities such as hygiene and food preparation.
The compromised area includes the avenues Balmaceda and Mapocho to the north, San Pablo to the south, Manuel Rodríguez to the east, and Amunátegui to the west. Aguas Andinas urged residents to inform themselves about specific streets and take preventive measures according to the needs of each home.
The company suggested storing water in advance, considering the estimated time of the outage. In addition, he recalled that buildings usually have ponds that provide a certain autonomy during this type of contingencies. However, he urged responsible use of the resource.
