He Central Reserve Bank (BCR) put into circulation a new currency silver in commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Ayacucho. Although this coin has a denomination of S/1, its initial price is S/184.

On the obverse of the coin appears the Coat of Arms, the text “BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ”, the year of minting and the denomination “UN SOL”.
On the back is shown in the center, an image based on the painting made by Daniel Hernández Morillo, “Capitulation of Ayacucho”, which works in the gallery of the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru. In this oil you can see José de Canterac, royalist chief of staff, signing the capitulation before General Antonio José de Sucre.
At the top appears the text “200 YEARS OF THE BATTLE OF AYACUCHO”, and at the bottom, a latent image that shows the brand of the National Mint and the acronym BCRP, visible by placing the coin tangentially towards a light source.
The monetary entity specified that 5,000 units will be issued, and indicated that to acquire this currency, users can enter the BCR sales portal: https://tiendavirtual.bcrp.gob.pe/tiendabcrp/.
